Lamar County is blessed with a superb school district that maintains excellent ratings year in and year out. To continue this success we need an advocate that will provide our educators with the resources they need in the classroom. Raises that pay our teachers what they’re worth and reducing the state testing requirements that burden them can be a symbiotic solution to problems plaguing our state. Eliminating the contracts that pay testing vendors over a hundred million dollars a year can free up funds to give pay raises and classroom supply funds.

If elected to serve in the House of Representative from District 101, Andrew will donate his Representatives salary to the Lamar County Teacher’s Fund. This will be only a small drop of supply in a big lake of need, but at least it is a start.

We must actively recruit jobs to Mississippi while at the same time develop a qualified and educated workforce. Without this, our state simply will not prosper.
